NBA Top Shot Weekly Summary (Week of 3/29/21)
Happy Easter, everyone! Looks like with the mood of this holiday, the market is also revealing a slight rising. This week has had a ton of challenge updates, but with 5 challenges left and 4 of them ending within the next two days, we'll get to breathe a little and refresh from a challenge-packed month. Let's dive in.
March 28, 2021 (Sunday)
MGLE Challenge 20 (pronounced M.G.L.E.) for a Jamal Murray reward ended with 169 completions. Current lowest ask for the Murray reward is $1,025.
Seeing Stars Challenge 1 for a KD reward ended with 4,182 completions. Current lowest ask for the KD reward is $484.
The second-ever base pack pre-order started at 11am and went for 48 hours straight. View the full list of moments that may be included in your pre-order pack here. The pack is expected to arrive in 2-3 weeks, and an update will be sent out to users on April 7th.
Notably, it was the first day that the marketplace remained functional during a queue.
March 29, 2021 (Monday)
Rising Stars Challenge 1 for an Anthony Edwards reward ended with 1,040 completions. Current lowest ask for the Edwards reward is $3,000.
Gifting has been disabled for significant upgrades that deter multi-account abusers. Estimated re-release will be on April 9th.
Dapper Labs receives $305 million in a new funding round, which includes investments from NBA big names like Michael Jordan and Kevin Durant, as well as celebrities like Will Smith and Ashton Kutcher.
A significant amount of the Seeing Stars KD reward holders united and priced the moment at $69,420.
Seeing Stars Challenge 2 for a Lebron James reward went live. Moments needed for this challenge are the Seeing Stars moments for Brown, Luka, Jokić, Curry, Sabonis, PG, AD, Giannis, Simmons, CP3, Lillard, and Gobert. The challenge ends in ~14 hours and has an estimated value of $1,987 to complete.
MGLE Challenge 21 for a Devin Booker went live. Moments needed for this challenge are the MGLE moments for Young, Tatum, Sexton, Oladipo, AD, Ja, Jrue, Barnes, and Westbrook. The challenge ends in ~14 hours and has an estimated value of $6,828 to complete.
Holo Icon Challenge 3 for a Nikola Jokić reward went live. Moments needed for this challenge are the Holo Icon moments for Oladipo, Kawhi, Jrue, Beasley, Dort, Hield, Lowry, Gobert, and Westbrook. The challenge ends in ~7 days and has an estimated value of $40,535 to complete.
March 30, 2021 (Tuesday)
Rising Stars Challenge 2 for a Zion Williamson reward went live. Moments needed for this challenge are the Rising Stars moments for MPJ, Ja, Achiuwa, Herro, Nickeil, RJ Barrett, Maledon, Haliburton, and Avdija. The challenge ends in ~2 days and has an estimated value of $3,611 to complete.
March 31, 2021 (Wednesday)
Pre-orders wrapped up with around 325,000 users who queued for pack.
April 1, 2021 (Thursday)
Welcome to the All-Star Challenge ended, with a surprise to its 6,688 collectors! The Conley challenge reward became the first-ever with a moment narration from the star of the moment. View the moment and watch Mike Conley's narration here. The current lowest ask for the Conley reward is $145.
All-Star Game Challenge 2 for a Lillard reward ended with 431 completions. Current lowest ask for the Lillard reward is $1,199.
Felt like a joke but it wasn't! Top Shot released Base Set Release 25 and Release 26 together for a stress test, with both listings in the same queue. 50,000 packs (25,000 for each release) was sold.
April 2, 2021 (Friday)

Some withdrawals stats: 14041 more unique users gained withdrawal access this week, bringing the total up to 42082 users with withdrawal access.
Top Shot gave complimentary packs to users who experienced issues during the Holo Icon, Cool Cats 2, and Pre-order Release 21 drops from February.
